AirSage has a very simple and focused mission – provide location, movement and traffic data and analysis that can simplify and clarify customer decisions through a wide range of applications.

Founded in 2000, AirSage was a pioneer in wireless location technology. Early research focused on establishing the feasibility of extracting and aggregating wireless signaling data from various network elements in a cost-effective and unobtrusive manner. This research led to unique developments that have enabled AirSage to provide more accurate and scalable location information, ubiquitous traffic coverage of roadways, and product capabilities that can enhance our customers’ marketing, targeted advertising, customer relationship management and many other business decisions.

Today, AirSage collects and analyzes real-time cell phone signals and produces more than three billion anonymous locations every day. The company powers location and movement data feeds to customers and partners, including: Advertising agencies, emergency management offices, online map companies and navigation device manufacturers, among others.

AirSage is the only company with a nationwide wireless carrier partner, and as such the company also has the widest coverage of any real-time location and movement provider in the country.

Provided through standard APIs, AirSage’s data feeds can be used in a variety of applications from traffic updates and travel-time estimates to movement analytics. The data can also easily be layered onto larger migration, demographic and socio-economic analyses.
