AirSage Provides Location and Movement Data

Location data is quite simply a coordinate along an X and a Y axis. AirSage is able to generate billions of anonymous location data points every day because of its direct relationship with carriers and switches that feed the AirSage system these wireless signals. Individually these anonymous “pings” don’t mean much, but in aggregate AirSage is able to start forming a detailed picture of clusters of people. On the roadways, clusters of signals are often a key indicator of congestion and traffic, and knowing when and where these clusters appear is the first step in helping others to avoid those locations.

Relative to movement data, AirSage has the ability to anonymously track the approximate origin and destination of nearly every cell phone signal down to a few hundred feet. This is extremely useful for businesses and advertisers because AirSage can provide unprecedented insight into the mass movements of people around given locations.
