Cy Smith, Founder & CEO

Cy Smith is an experienced entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to the launch of AirSage in 2000, Cy was Founder, President and CEO of Advance Technology Corporation (ATC), a pioneer and leader in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS)-based solutions for wireless and wireline telecommunications companies. Cy began his career with BellSouth Corporation, holding positions in network engineering, quality assurance and management. Cy is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE). He has been recognized as one of Georgia Tech’s “Outstanding Young Engineers” by the Georgia Tech Alumni Association and has received awards from the American Electronics Association for leadership and innovation in technology.
 
 
Nancy Watts, Executive Vice President, Operations

Nancy has a successful 30 year track record in establishing and leading operations attaining highly competitive supply chain performance. Prior to joining AirSage, Ms. Watts was Executive VP of Operations at Flexplay Technologies, where she led the development and implementation of Flexplay’s next generation technology reducing product costs by 70%. Ms. Watts also established the operational supply chain encompassing raw material through product manufacture and VMI product deployment utilizing POS data and EDI information exchange. Supply chain efficiency and effectiveness directly contributed to Flexplay receiving Hudson News “Innovative Vendor of the Year Award for 2008” from the president of Hudson Group and Donny Deutsch from the CNBC show “The Big Idea”. Prior to joining Convex (former parent company to Flexplay), Ms. Watts established the LidRock assembly facility and supply chain achieving a half a million per day unit capacity. As VP of Operations for Hayes Microcomputer Products, Ms Watts led the development and implementation of strategies which dramatically turned around operational performance. While there she also held the positions of Manager of Product Engineering, Director of Quality and Director of Manufacturing. She has been an operational consultant for Rockwell Automation. Ms. Watts is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
